We are pleased to announce that 76077 will be a guest locomotive at the Cotswold Festival of Steam, 24-26 May (the late May Bank Holiday weekend). Of course the locomotive won’t be working but the chassis is making a one-off visit to Toddington, on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Steam Railway, for this outstanding event. It’s a rare opportunity to see the incredible progress that has been made on the chassis during its restoration at Locomotive Maintenance Services in Loughborough.
The chassis is being delivered to Toddington by courtesy of shareholder Andrew Goodman, of Railway Support Services, and returned to Loughborough after the event.
Toddington Standard Locomotive Limited will, of course, have a stand at the Festival, which will boast up to ten locomotives in steam. Our stand will be inside the David Page Locomotive Shed at Toddington, alongside 76077’s chassis. Not only will you be able to inspect the amazing work completed so far but also chat to the TSLL team about progress being made on the locomotive and the boiler, which is currently being overhauled at Leaky Finders Ltd in Devon.
76077’s chassis will only be at the GWSR for a short time, so don’t miss this unique opportunity to find out more about your locomotive and witness the remarkable progress that has been made and discover how you can help to return the engine to steam!
